Allgemeinen Orts Krankenkassen, the most widespread Organisation with 15 regional branches having altogether nearly 24 million members. AOK has a special service for students. You can find accessible office locations, directly on-site in many universities and college towns. The AOK Studenten-Service gives you competent, detailed advice when you need it. As Germany's largest health insurance organisation the AOK has also the administrative and financial strength to provide excellent medical care at moderate rates.

BKK

The association of the company based health insurances is build by 169 single substitute funds. This variety contains lots of small and some bigger companies. If you have a special interest to be a member of one company substitute fund (f.e. Mobil Oil - or Citi Bank substitute fund) Deutsche Insurance will be happy to make the contact when you write us the company name in the comments box.

HEK

The Hanseatic substitute fund is a fine company with an A+ rating (very good) for quality by the “Assekurata”. They are financially strong and take a lot of care with the money of the insured people. With 2 million insured people the commercial substitute fund is the No. 4 in Germany. DAK

DAK is one of the medium size companies but a very progressive HI provider which gives maximum benefits to the students in their own capacity. They have a reputation to go all out helping the students incase of all emergencies as they have a very strong team for student support. IKK
